March 06, 2017: Dost is Ashok Leyland's only offering in the Indian SCV segment. It offers a mileage of 17.6 kmpl. Starting from INR 5.38 lakh ex-showroom price, the mini truck is powered by a 1.5 Litre 3 cylinder turbocharged diesel engine which can produce a maximum of 58 bhp power & 158 Nm of maximum torque. Ashok Leyland Dost is available in one wheelbase dimension of 2,350 mm only. However, consumers can chose between three body types. The payload capacity of the vehicle 1,250 kg and it offers 29% gradeability. Dost can carry different loads like packed food boxes, crates, FMCG, and construction material. The cabin interior includes features including mobile charging point, rear fender, dual tone interiors, AC in LX trim, adjustable driver seat and power steering (except in LE trim). A CNG variant of Dost is also available in the market.
