What is the difference between a BFA and a BA programme?
One of the most significant distinctions between the BA and the BFA is the programme type. BA studies enable students study numerous areas of their art form to uncover their interests and talents as a liberal arts degree. The bachelor's degree gives a solid foundation of knowledge as well as opportunities for creative development. Two-thirds of the course work in the Bachelor of Fine Arts programme is devoted to the creation and study of visual arts, while the remaining one-third is devoted to liberal arts (history, literature, psychology, etc.). In a Bachelor of Arts, however, the curriculum ratios are reversed, with two-thirds focusing on liberal arts and one-third on visual arts.
